I am an associate professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill at at the School of Information and Library Science, a contributing opinion writer <a href=""http://www.nytimes.com/column/zeynep-tufekci"">at the New York Times</a>, and a faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. My first book, <a href=""http://www.twitterandteargas.org/"">Twitter and Tear Gas</a>, was published by Yale University Press.
